The Kraken firmware updater is a standalone tool designed to upgrade only the NZXT Kraken X Series Gen 3 all-in-one liquid coolers. While we have made every effort to ensure the updater will not work with any other product, please use caution and confirm that your Kraken is one of the following models: Kraken X42 – RL-KRX42-01 and RL-KRX42-02. Copy/paste the CD’s LAN drivers to a USB key (using a laptop or system with an optical drive), then install the drivers from the key. Once that’s sorted, navigate to the manufacturer’s website and grab the chipset drivers (applies to AMD and Intel), management engine drivers (if present – mostly for Intel), SATA/storage drivers, USB3.0.

How to Install NZXT Aer RGB Fans
Step 1 – Connect Molex power cable to HUE+.
Step 2 – Connect the USB cable to the motherboard and to HUE+.

Step 3 – Connect the controller cable to the HUE+ and to the Aer RGB’s IN port.

Step 4 – Use the 50cm or 10cm fan-to-fan cable and connect from the OUT port of the previous fan to the IN port of the next fan.
Step 5 – Use the extender cable to link two Fan-to-Fan cables together to extend length.
Step 6 – Connect the Aer RGB’s 4-pin power cable to the motherboard or fan controller.
Optional: Connect the low noise adapter to the fan’s 4-pin before connecting to the motherboard to lower the fan’s noise.
