Computational storage is about coupling compute and storage to run applications locally on the data, reduc ing the processing required on the remote server, and reduc ing data movement. To do that, a processor on the drive is dedicated to processing the data directly on th at drive, which allows the remote host processor to work on other tasks. Xilinx and Samsung Deliver Industry’s First Adaptable Computational Storage Drives Fully customizable and scalable SmartSSD computational storage platform moves compute closer to storage for accelerated data processing speed and efficiency.

  1. So I add the change with os.environ for the variable XDGDOWNLOADDIR. Which doesn't work, but I think that it helps. That is: os.environ'XDGDOWNLOADDIR' = defaultdownloaddirectory The really change that works perfectly for me is setup the download folder via the command xdg-user-dirs-update through a system call in execution time.
  2. Statistics Online Computational Resource. We strongly encourage users to utilize interactively our SOCR server directly online. For people with slow internet connections downloading the JAR files and running SOCR locally may be a better option.

SOCR Download

We strongly encourage users to utilize interactively our SOCR server directly online. For people with slow internet connections downloading the JAR files and running SOCR locally may be a better option.
Mechanisms for local execution of all SOCR resources:
  • CD: Complete SOCR CD (25MB) is available here and includes all SOCR Applets and a Handbook.
  • Web-Start: Web-start desktop applications: You can download and save the HTML wrapper and all Java web-starts components (JNLP) (can be used for SOCR mirror servers).
  • Binary: The SOCR resource is available for download in its binary format (SOCR_1.2_bin.zip).
  • Java Source Code: Also the SOCR source code is publically available at http://SOCR.googlecode.com.
